Its all in the Tea Cups!

I love this story .....maybe relevant to today's storm in the teacup of life!!

A group of graduates from the corporate world got together for a reunion at their prestigious University. Their lecturer was delighted to see them all and to hear how well they were all doing in their professions and in life.

He asked them if they would like to drink coffee, and enthusiastically they said they would.

He went into the kitchen and came out with 2 huge flasks of coffee and an assortment of cups.
Some cups were brightly coloured, some dull , some large , some small...some chipped ,some looked expensive and exquisite and others cheap!

The lecturer put down the tray and told the graduates to help themselves.

There was a polite rush to the tray ....Once they all had a cup of coffee in their hands he spoke ;

" Did you notice how you all rushed to take the nice, expensive, exquisite looking cups first , leaving the dull and chipped cups till last . Did you also notice you poured the coffee from either flask without a second thought and began to drink it.....

Whilst it is normal that you want the best for yourselves, this is the source of all problems and stress!

What you all wanted was the coffee, NOT the cup, but yet we all raced for the best cup and no one asked about the coffee!

Just like in life...if the life is the "coffee" , then the jobs, money , position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and maintain your life ! The quality of life ( coffee) does NOT depend on the cup !"

If you only concentrate on the cup ..you do not have time to enjoy or taste the coffee!!! "


The " Bull" is now in the china shop ...and the cups are crashing around us all .....
you still have a choice ...CHOOSE TO ENJOY THE COFFEE!!!
